2015-2016 5th Annual Nebraska Blue Challenge preliminary rounds

Congratulations to our 2015-16 winner HECTOR ANCHONDO BAND, who went all the way to the Final Eight in Memphis in 2016!!!


Here is the schedule of preliminary rounds for the 2015-2016 Nebraska Blues Challenge.

The highest scoring band will represent the BSO in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee, January 26-30, 2016!  Learn more about the IBC's by visiting  The Blues Foundation's Website at blues.org/international-blues-challenge.

The highest scoring band from each round will advance to the finals to be held October 4th. All Finalists will receive a variety of prizes including cash and recording studio time from Moose Lodge Recording Studio. Highest scoring band from the finals will receive $1200 in travel expense money for Memphis and a photo shoot from Richard Allen Photography in addition to other prizes and paid gigs in the area.   


 All rounds and the finals will be hosted by the 21st Saloon (96th and L Streets) in Omaha. 
Admission is $5 and goes towards the costs of the Nebraska Blues Challenge.  
We have a total of 11 entries this year and have scheduled performances as follows:
